The Band Perry took their second ACM Award of the year - top new artist, which followed their previous top new vocal duo or group win - the three bandmembers were still trying to process their whirlwind success."To hear 'The Band Perry' and 'nominee' in the same sentence, it's still sinking in," singer Kimberly Perry said on the red carpet going into Sunday's awards show at Las Vegas' MGM Grand Garden Arena.The family trio also performed at the 46th annual Academy of Country Music Awards show, alongside some of the biggest names in country music, including Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban. Before the show, Kimberly said she was looking forward to one of the cross-genre pairings planned for the night: R & B songstress Rihanna's team-up with Sugarland voice Jennifer Nettles.When it came time to accept the new artist trophy, though, the band was all aw-shucks country-trademark humility."We are so humbled by this," Kimberly Perry said, "and our songs belong to you (fans), absolutely."
